Hello! It’s The Honorable Nicole Cole, School Board Member for Spotsylvania County Public Schools. I am thrilled to invite you to our 4th Annual Juneteenth Event in celebration of Juneteenth Freedom Day—a time for us to come together in remembrance, reflection, and celebration of the strength, resilience, and progress of those who came before us.
This year’s event, presented in collaboration with Nicole Cole for Delegate, is deeply meaningful to me because it represents so much more than a gathering. It is an opportunity for our community to connect, celebrate our shared history and culture, and recommit ourselves to creating opportunities for future generations.
For four years, this event has been rooted in a belief that education changes lives. While we honor the significance of Juneteenth and the continued pursuit of freedom and equity, we also remain committed to supporting educational opportunities and advocacy in our communities. That commitment is reflected through the work of the Pathways To Success Foundation (PTSF), a 501(c)(3) Virginia charitable organization whose mission is to support the pursuit of higher education and champion education advocacy.
I hope you will join me on June 19th as we celebrate Juneteenth Freedom Day together. Whether you have attended in years past or this will be your first time, your presence helps make this event a true reflection of community, unity, and hope.
As we gather and celebrate, I also want to share that proceeds from this year’s event will support the campaign. At the same time, those who would like to continue supporting the educational mission of PTSF may still do so through charitable donations. Contributions can be made by check, and I invite you to message us for more information.
I look forward to celebrating with you and continuing the important work of honoring our past while investing in our future. Together, we can ensure that the spirit of Juneteenth lives on through education, opportunity, and community.
